I am working on a form, created it and the customer wants to add a feature where the user can add an image to the form before submitting. When the form is completed, it is submitted to a webpage and comes out as .xml data. My question is, how to I get the .jpg that was attached from the .xml data?
usually the jpg is base64 encoded and/or zipped. You will need to take the string from the XML and decode it (and possibly unzip it as well) using a decoding routine. There are several Java libraries that do this as well as .net routine (and similar tools for other languages)
Also you woudl use an image Field and not just an image object. When you click on th eimage field a dialog will come up and allow you to select the file. If the field is bound to the data set then the image will be base64 encoded in the xml datafile.
