Hi, We are facing the same issue time to time. Our Server is on Unix.
When Cental does it's house cleaning it will delete files in the collector directory based on the "Delete Exension" setting in the Central Process configuration. Yours is probably set to da* and a file with the extension dar is getting in there with permissions set such that Central can't delete it so Central dies. Change the setting to dat and you will probably be allright. It looks like the dar file goes away anyway because on restart everything works fine.
We put files in the collector folder using FTP. I've experienced times when (apparently) error recovery or a program glitch will cause the file to be resent from the source. If it is writing the file at the same time Central is attempting to delete or move it then Central terminates like you describe.
Hi all, I am new to central server. we are trying to update window NT version to Window 2003.
We need to install Adobe Output Server 5.5 in Window 2003 server.
Please tell me
1. what are the mandatory steps after installing this tool.
like copy ini file from working server...etc.
2. How I can check if any print queue is setup on server
if any tips and trick, greatly appreciated.
