As long as the '<', '>' and '&' are escaped in the XML element as '<', '>'; and '&' (according to the XML standard), the conversion is done automatically by xmlimport or the print agent.
Thanks for the reply!!
But thats what we are not doing. The XML is being generated by an external system which puts all the string data in the CDATA section. We can write a custom agent to do the same but we would like an option wherein the XML import agent or print agent automatically do it.
CDATA sections should work. Have you tried loading your XML into Internet Explorer to see what it does with it? Perhaps you've got the syntax slightly wrong.
Loading the XML in the Internet Explorer shows the CDATA section as it is. I am not sure whether the Internet explorer should strip them off. <br /><br />Can you pls. guide me to the correct structure if i am wrong. Below is an excerpt from the xml that we have.<br /><ZHDRFOT_ENG_WEB_ADDRESS> THis is test data with & and < signs </ZHDRFOT_ENG_WEB_ADDRESS ><br /><BRANCH>THis is test data with > and ! signs </BRANCH><br /><br />Appreciate your help!
