Your technician is right. If you want to run PageMaker for Mac you
could also look for a very old used Mac. PageMaker isn't even very
good under Mac OS X; you should boot Mac OS 9.
If you were running it on your old Mac, keep that Mac.
If the MBP came with Leopard no you can't. please read the "You can't use Pagemaker in OSX Leopard." thread.
How about option to install Windows in macbook pro and then install
pagemaker under windows??
Can i do that?? should i have windows for mac version??
No, it came with OS X not Leopard. Any other way to have Pagemaker on my MBP??
>No, it came with OS X not Leopard.
leopard is OSX.
its version 10.5.x
No you can't run Mac Pagemaker on an Intel Mac.
Please read the "Pagemaker WILL NOT WORK on the new Mactels!!!" thread.
If you use boot camp you can buy Windows OS and install it but you will need to have a Windows version of Pagemaker.
If you must use Pagemaker buy an old Mac that boots OS9.
Better yet upgrade to InDesign.
Also, you will have to buy a full retail copy of Windows XP or Vista.
Sorry, make that Windows XP only. I doubt it will work on Vista.
If you're referring to Bootcamp, it will work with XP or Vista. If
you're referring to PM then XP is a far better bet than Vista.
I think Aandi was referring to PageMaker.
Pagemaker is dead. Along with Classic and OS9'
Its Zombieware dead but still walking the Earth.
Why do you want to keep using something that nobody supports?
>If you're referring to Bootcamp, it will work with XP or Vista.
I did indeed mean PageMaker.
Last night i have just installed Win XP and Pagemaker Windows versio.
It works well in MBP.
