Are you sure you mean "jpeg"? Saving pages of a newsletter as jpegs seems like a bad choice if your only reason is transporting them to various PCs for printing.
Instead of each page as a jpeg, save the whole newsletter as one PDF instead. Your vector images and text won't be rasterized, and PDFs can be very small in file size if that's a concern. I think jpegs would have to have pretty low res and high compression to get their file sizes down that low, and you would lose lots of quality that PDFs would retain.
Yes I mean a jpeg. I have tried to transport a pdf but because of the complexity and the variety of fonts, I have not been able to move the newsletters from the mac/pagemaker to any of the pcs that I use. I have used the jpegs previously and still have them on the flash drive and they have printed more than 50o newsletters beautifully. I just can't remember how I did it.
PDF= Portable Document Format
with the fonts embedded they will display correctly on any computer.
I must be doing something wrong then when I create a pdf document. I have not been successful at having the items display without font problems. Is there something special that needs be done to embed the fonts?
You should always review the Distiller job options. The default is to
make files for screen reading, not pre-press.
