I've just started playing with Lightroom 2. I'm getting some odd behaviors and not sure where the problem is. This is on a system running an Intel e6700, 4GB of matched memory, and 3TB of disks. O/S is XP 32 with SP3. There's nothing else running while I'm editing.
Is there some way to see my crop size when cropping? I don't care if its pixels or inches or whatever, but is there a way to see what I'm doing as I crop? I can sort-of see the size in the file info overlay on the grid view, but it's nowhere near real-time and it doesn't always change from 4288x2848 to the crop size.
When I have LR 2 running, and grab a dozen or so images, and tell it to edit them in Bridge, Bridge comes up OK, although not with those images. BUT, if I grab an image in bridge and go into ACR, it never displays the preview. It just sits there. I CAN go to CS3 from Bridge at that point and the ACR in Photoshop shows the image fine, so I'm guessing this is some kind of thing going on between Bridge and LR. Am I out of some resource? Something else?
When I've done the "Edit in Bridge", and Bridge is up, and go back to LR, I cannot move in the filmstrip at the bottom of the library screen. Dragging the scrollbar causes a fast jerking and no matter what I do it goes back to the end of the set of images.
And lastly (for the moment), I'm using the second monitor to display the loupe view. It worked fine initially, but once I did the "Edit in Bridge" my secondary display has hung between two images. It just sits there with two images jumbled as though it was painting the new image and hung partway through.
As soon as I closed Bridge things went back to "normal"...... Is this expected behavior (I sure hope not)? Or is there some problem?
