I have noticed that on the Mac, too - used to work fine.

hillrg Dec 18, 2008 1:15 PM (in response to gurglamei)I have had this issue since day one. Some say to empty your recycle bin - never helped for me.

J McWilliams Dec 18, 2008 1:19 PM (in response to gurglamei)Delete in 2.2 works on my Macs as it always did. You cannot delete multiple images in Develop mode, nor across folders in either mode.
In Grid view, one folder, you can delete multiples in either the film strip or the grid. -

But that's exactly what *isn't* working anymore for me and apparently
others.

6. Re: LR 2.2 Delete is slow, multiple delete does not work
gurglamei Dec 19, 2008 1:59 AM (in response to gurglamei)Based on your replies I did some testing and the bug seems to be connected to having the grid view on a second monitor.
If I disable the second monitor I can delete all selected images.
Furthermore, if I enable the second monitor and keep the grid view on my primary monitor and the loupe view on the second monitor I can delete all selected images.
However, if I switch and have the grid view on my second monitor and the loupe view on my primary monitor I can only delete one image at a time. If multiple images are selected, only the most selected is deleted. I also noted that with this arrangement, the "Confirm" dialog box only asks if I want to delete the selected IMAGE (as opposed to IMAGES) even if multiple images are selected.
My screen calibrator only calibrates my primary display, so I want to have the loupe view on this monitor. I mostly look through all images in a folder and mark the deletes, and delete them when I am finished with the folder. Now at least I have a walk around by switching views until this is fixed.
Update: I can not mark multiple images either.. Select more than one image, and try to color mark it red. Only the most selected gets marked.

gurglamei Dec 19, 2008 2:52 AM (in response to gurglamei)Continued here: http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.59b74f91
The bug seems to affect several actions when applying them in the grid view on a second monitor. Hence this new post with a better subject description.

J McWilliams Dec 19, 2008 6:29 AM (in response to gurglamei)Dang, that does sound annoying, C, but good description of the process.
In the mean time, marking with an X and then doing a massive delete at the end of the session might at least cut down on the backs and forths. -
9. Re: LR 2.2 Delete is slow, multiple delete does not work
(Kjell_Roar_Bjørnsen) Dec 26, 2008 4:27 PM (in response to gurglamei)After moving my LR 2.1 from an older and much slower XP 32 machine (where this action went very fast though...) to a new fast Vista 32 machine with a lots of free disk space, I experienced that the delete from disk became remarkebly slow. After x-ing lots of pictures, I choose ctrl+backspace to delete rejected photoes. This also have continued after upgrading to LR 2.2
I just now did a try and 50 pictures took 10 minutes......
If I just choose to remove them from the cataloge, it just take a second. And if I afterwards do the physically deletes from the explorer, it also just take seconds. There must be a bug in LR causing this!!!
