I have the same problem. I can not find a way to install lightroom.
I googled pxsetup.exe and found:
Component Name: pxsetup.exe
Description of pxsetup.exe
This is a component of Music Match. This jukebox software manages and plays your music. It also lets you create and rip CDs, and create playlists.
If, by chance, you have Music Match installed, I'd uninstall it before installing Lightroom. Might be a conflict with the CD.
Hi, I've got exactly the same problems. I serched and removed three pxsetup.exe files from Music Match and I've still got the same error messages.
I've done a 'regedit' sweep and removed everything Lightroom Beta left behind. I've used Ccleaner (a great free utility - www.ccleaner.com) to sweep all the dross out. Then rebooted....
and it still won't install?,
I rang Adobe and found them very unhelpful..... if it's not a registered product they won't help at all. I pointed out I wanted to install, purchase and register, but that it wouldn't let me?
They still wouldn't offer any help. If thats the thanks you get for helping trial their Beta programs; well they can forget it.
I've just posted a topic about this as well, so keep in touch.
Suggestion, the Beata version is still available for download.
Reinstall it, wind your clock back, then try the programs dedicated uninstall again?
I'd not mess with the Beta, but I'm onna Mac and I ain't goin' back....
O.K. One of the posts referred to a network message. That could be the problem there; LR isn't complete for nat work just now. External drives, fine, but not networks for all functions. Does that help in some cases here?
the beta is still available? I don't see it on the site. do you still have the Windows binary?
Just to clarify, I have used CCClean, the Windows cleanup utility, manual removal of all referecnes to Lightroom from the registry. I don't have Musicmatch installed on my system but I'll look for the file.
