let's say your app is running at http://localhost/app
let's say your Flex page is served by http://localhost/app/flexpage.jsp
let's say you servlet is at http://localhost/app/servlet.do
now from your Flex application, you'll specify url="servlet.do".
so to answer your question, think of the URLs as relative to current URL that rendered the flex app. That should be familiar and you don't have to specify the full url like: http://localhost/app/servlet.do
This is the location where the servlet runs : http://veappl007.dhcp.wdf.sap.corp:50000/Prefetch/PrefetchServiceServlet
and the location where the html containing swf runs is:
I have tried all ways giving url="PrefetchServiceServlet.do" and url="/Prefetch/PrefetchServiceServlet.do"
but of no use.
Early i had built some basic html with some form ..there i was giving "/Prefetch/PrefetchServiceServlet" in the form action tag.. there it was working fine i.e request was going from html page to the servlet..but i dont know why it does not work here..
Why did you add .do to the path?
url="PrefetchServiceServlet" should do the trick.
Ya, I have tried it but its not calling the servlet...
I have made quite some observations so far:
Firstly when I was working in Flex builder and run the code with url given in full i.e: http://veappl007.dhcp.wdf.sap.corp:50000/Prefetch/PrefetchServiceServlet
and run the mxml file everything went on well.
But when I copy the project file i.e the whole project folder somewhere else on my desktop and run the html it does not connect. I dont understood how this works . Moreover im not sure what all files need to be imported to my already existing java project for the UI to function as uusual.
