    Fireworks importing Japanese Korean Text

    Gomesmacro

Hi, I am hoping someone can help here. I need to import Japanese and Korean text into Fireworks MX 2004. I am unsure of how to do this. Copy and paste just pastes a whole load of squares.

My PC has been set up to accomodate Japanese and Korean (Control Panel, Regional Settings, Select Japanese / Korean)

The internet does not seem to cover this subject.

      I hope you can help

As far as I know (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) Fireworks
English version does not support double byte characters. The best
workaround it to type the characters in MS Word, make a screen shot, and
then paste the text from the screen shot into your document.
Alternatively, if you have another image editing program the language is
supported in, type the text, convert it to paths, and then copy and
paste it into your Fireworks document.

Here I just found something. Using Font MS P Gothic seems to support Japanese. Copy and paste out of word. I am hoping it will work with Korean and Chinese. Just waiting for some sample text to find out.
