    Read XML data for weather service

      Hi everyone,

      I'm trying to make a module in Flash to read external data from a weather service (in this case is weather channel). I tried to make this in AS3 and it worked perfecly, but the rest of the interface is in AS2.

      What I'm trying to do is to send an http adress in order to get xml information. I noticed that XML.load function only works in local server.

      The address doesn't point to and xml file, but the response is xml information. Do I need a PHP file? Is the XMLConnector enough to do this? If yes how do I do it?

      the adress is like this http://xoap.weather.com/weather/local/POXX0028?cc=*[...

      The answer is
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
      <!--This document is intended only for use by authorized licensees of The Weather Channel. Unauthorized use is prohibited. Copyright 1995-2005, The Weather Channel Interactive, Inc. All Rights Reserved.-->
      <weather ver="2.0">
      <head>
      <locale>en_US</locale>
      <form>MEDIUM</form>
      <ut>C</ut>
      <ud>km</ud>
      <us>km/h</us>
      <up>mb</up>
      <ur>mm</ur>
      </head>
      <loc id="POXX0028">
      <dnam>Viana do Castelo, Portugal</dnam>
      <tm>4:53 PM</tm>
      <lat>41.70</lat>
      <lon>-8.80</lon>
      [...]

      Anyone has an ideia?

      Thanks
