1. Re: Lightroom 1.3 "Sidecar file has conflict" on .PSD files...
(DonRicklin) Feb 20, 2008 1:16 PM (in response to hrh gracie)Do they happen to be next to Raw or Tiff or Jpeg files of the same filename, other than extension?
Any of those may be being considered a sidecar to the PSD by LR, even though it is not a Raw + xmp sidecar situation.

2. Re: Lightroom 1.3 "Sidecar file has conflict" on .PSD files...
hrh gracie Feb 21, 2008 1:09 PM (in response to hrh gracie)In this case they were all .psd files in a directory that has no RAW files of any kind. There may have been jpegs for one or more, and in the catalog there would have been RAW files, but they'd be in a completely separate directory tree.
But, is this a bug or what? 'Cause at present I have changes to metadata that I can't write.... Which, seems like a pretty major problem. -
3. Re: Lightroom 1.3 "Sidecar file has conflict" on .PSD files...
(DonRicklin) Feb 21, 2008 2:21 PM (in response to hrh gracie)For the ones causing this problem is there a JPEG of the same filename present? If so rename either one or move it. That may be part of the problem.

4. Re: Lightroom 1.3 "Sidecar file has conflict" on .PSD files...
hrh gracie Mar 3, 2008 8:07 PM (in response to hrh gracie)Don, not that I'm doubting your statement, and in truth I can't recall whether or not there were jpegs with the same name, but if having a jpeg with the same filename causes this kind of problem, isn't that pretty much the definition of a BUG? Again, this seems a pretty major problem, although I suppose if it only happens occasionally and the people affected don't mind losing their changes, its no big deal...
