    Split-screen grid for select/reject review

When reviewing and selecting a series of photos taken at an event, the selection often depends on factors other than aesthetics alone. Sometimes, a not-so-great photo needs to be included because it captures an important moment, and at other times great photos get discarded because they don't fit or are redundant. In other words, the selected photos have to 'work' as a set.

To streamline this process, it would be great if it were possible to show all 'selected' photos on one side of the workspace, and the other images on the alongside them on the other side. This would allow you to move images back and forth as needed, until the selection 'works' as a set.

In particular I'd like to see this implemented in the library module by an optional vertical split-screen that works with the filters that are already present (stars, colors and flags). The filtered results (normal) would be shown on the left panel, and the remaining images on the right panel.

For example, when you set up your filters to show the 'picks', these would be on the left, with all the unflagged and rejected images on the right. Flagging an image on the right as 'pick' would move it over to the left. Conversely, rejecting or unflagging an image would move it to the right. This process could be continued until the images on the left form a coherent set.

Of course, the number of images on the left and right is unlikely to be the same. Therefore, one would need to take care of the scrolling of the left and right panels. For this, I see two convenient possibilities:
      1) Scrolling both panels together, such that subsequent images always appear at the same height. (Obviously, this can introduce gaps)
      2) Scrolling each panel individually.
      3) Both of the above, with an option.
