1. Re: Linking the vertical and horizontal pixels count on export
(DonRicklin) Sep 14, 2007 5:16 AM (in response to terryd1)Constrain to portion of Export Dialog, Shft-Ctl/Cmd-E, does not do it for you? Put 800 (your example) in both fields.

terryd1 Sep 14, 2007 7:24 AM (in response to terryd1)Thanks for your reply Don. I didn't actually try to see what would happen, thinking that if I just put 800x600 it would save in a weird proportion. but looks like if you change both sides to say 800 it saves the picture in the right proportions as would putting 800x0 but if you were to enter 800x100 say it would be saved as 150x100. Hmm! I think I would still like to see a "constrain proportions" box included. -

(Gilles_Theophile) Sep 18, 2007 6:13 AM (in response to terryd1)Yep, agrees with Terence.
AND, as you can find it in almost all free and non-professional apps : display estimated size ( in KB, MB and GB ) of exported file or bunch of files.
E-mail service providers still have attached file limitations, intranet services in companies as well, so it is good to know the file size BEFORE instead of guessing it and wasting time with test & trial.
Gilles.
