Do you want to remove it? Or just stop it from automatically loading?
Like Howard Strateman, I find so very very annoying that there is no option to turn off Adobe Photoshop Starter Edition 3.2 opening automatically directly any camera or card reader is attached. I do not want to remove the program completely (though I may have to unless someone offers a solution) I just do not want it taking control of my computer (Windows PC) every time there is a JPEG in sight.
I guess there is someplace in the Registry that can be edited, but I am very anxious about making manual changes in the Registry.
If Adobe won't provide an answer, please can someone help us (there must be many thousands of us) who feel let down that a trusted software company like Adobe encourages us to download free software that hi-jacks our computer without express permission.
Actually Mike, if you do a search on the forum, I have included
instructions on how to prevent this... Just click on Start, Run,
MSCONFIG, Startup... and then uncheck adproxy... then click OK.

Five stars for the link recommended by CS!!!
This STUPID program started every time I plugged in my flash drive. Unsolicited, officious, time-wasting behavior by PEOPLE may be unwelcome, but it's generally unintentional. When SOFTWARE does it, it means someone (or some committee) chose to be irritating on purpose, which is pretty much unforgiveable.
Presumably the marketing folks at Adobe were yearning for a change after all those monotonous years of user-friendly, customer-centric application development....
This is nothing new. It's been like this for a few years now. In any
case... this isn't an area for rants. If you have something constructive
to say great, but we are all just end-users... so... take it down a
