1. Re: Corrupt Layout in Edit Page mode for some
ThinkInk Oct 13, 2008 11:30 PM (in response to jefbak)I tested your page on Contribute CS3 on Vista and the page is perfectly editable and does not brake down at all...
So maybe the difference is found in MAC/Windows users? Maybe the Mac version has a different CSS interpretation or a bug? Maybe you can play around with your CSS to find what is causing this problem. It's a bit like the errors you get when you check a site with different browsers. When you have dreamweaver you can do a browser check to locate errors/problems in html and css in certain browsers. -
2. Re: Corrupt Layout in Edit Page mode for some
jefbak Oct 14, 2008 7:03 PM (in response to jefbak)Thanks ThinkInk. I am looking forward to trying the new inline editing product in Labs soon the way things are going for me with contribute and css. Some macs render the page in edit mode just fine, other don't. Since we are talking edit page mode I assume all mac users would be using the same render engine. We all have the same role and rights. But my edit page has no layout applied at all. I figure the connection might be to my dreamweaver site, so I deleted it, but that didn't help. I also tried removing my temp and site files in my contriubte application support directory and re-creating the site. No luck there either.
I was messing around with trying to point roles to a particular css file for awhile, but gave up because (as you know from my other thread) the css files reside outside of the contriubte website setup.
Anyway I will consider a fluke for now as it is only happening on 2 macs at the moment.
