I don't know if I can help you with this or not, but what OS are you using?
Thanks for your interest.
I am using Windows XP, which is up to date.
Just found a post indicating that some people are having problems
printing with XP Pro. Are you using this version... another thought.
There are a few ideas on the HP website. Have you seen these?
Obviously some don't apply, but you can look at the others.
I don't know that reinstalling either the driver or PSA will help.
Was this always like this? Any errors?
Thanks again. I am using XP Home Edition.
I have gone to the HP site you suggested "No Response". All emphasis there is to obtain a Test Print and my printer does a Test Print O.K.
The significant point regarding Adobe is that a request to print does not appear in the print queue
Note this also applies to Adobe PDF documents. Not only photos.
So I think Adobe is the problem.
I can make photo prints using other software e.g. HP Essentials. It is only Adobe that refuses to print.
No error are received, just no print, and back to the previous screen.
Problem solved by changing the 'Properties' for the HP Photosmart C3180 Printer.
In the 'Advanced' drop down menu the Radio button for "Spool print document' was selected, and in 'Settings' the printer was set as shared.
Adobe photos and pdf documents can now be printed.
Sorry to have taken so long to respond to you. I'm glad your sorted
though. I was completing my research paper and term paper for my MA at
the beginning of December... heckuva backlog now. :)
