I don't understand this bit:
> I am set up as administrator, and often use my password to access other stuff
If you are a user with admin privileges, you only need the passpword to log on. You should then be able to unlock PSA SE.
Forgive my wording if it wasn't clear. What I meant was that when I purchased the computer, I had to set myself up as "administrator" during initial setup.
And actually, I solved the problem just a few minutes ago. When I got the unlock code, I copied & pasted it into the space. This did not work, so I manually entered the code-and it highlighted the "Unlock Now" button. Thanks for looking, though.
I had the copy-and-paste problem myself, and yes....if you TYPE in the unlock code instead of copying and pasting it in, the bar which says "Unlock Now" is no longer greyed out and you can complete the registration. MouseB
You folks are great. I had exactly the same problem as Buck H. When I called Adobe on the phone they didn't have the answer. The first technition that I talked to told me to remove and re-install the program but that did nothing. The second technition told me about the forum so at least it led me to the answer. I never would have thought to punch the unlock code in manually, I'm so used to copy and pasting passwords.
Just FYI, this is really a bug in IE - it has a habit of copying an extra space on the end when you lift stuff off of a Web page.
I am having a problem with the unlock code. I have manually typed it in, cut and pasted, but it is still giving me this message...
You must have system administrator privleges for the unlock code to be activated on this computer.
I am the system administrator on this computer ,but it won't give me an opportunity anywhere to prove it. Any ideas on how to get around this. I have just recently moved all my photos into this program and now can't get them out.
Thanks for your help.
I can't answer your question, but your statement:
> I have just recently moved all my photos into this program and now can't get them out.
is misleading. The photos aren't in they are just cataloged by it. They are just on your hard disk.
My problem is that I fill out everything to register Photoshop Album Starter Edition but all I get is that it can't connect to the site! Can anyone help me?!
Is it your firewall? That's the usual problem.
I found that cut and paste did not work. You have to TYPE in each character. At the end, the button becomes active.
I have registered successfully, and the unlock becomes highlighted when I enter the code, but when I click on unlock the program closes.
There is a FAQ on Registration/Unlock at the following link http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/330442.html .This should solve the Unlock problem.
