I have tried Jims advise but not resolved the issue.
* using file / catalogue /report - cant do this as I cant get into the application
* reinstall (or install new version)- this doesn't apply to the starter edition where I have taken the latest version from the web
* install Windows Servicepack 2 - done this and still get the problem. I have also tried downloading the MDAC update but after downloading I get errors running it.
Any other ideas ?
Are you running any other applications? Can you pass on your system specs?
How much HDD space do you have left. At this point, we're likely going to be
looking for a needle in a haystack.
Try holding down CTRL as you start the program. This should cause it to go straight to a catalog recover.
