I, too, sort of expected CS2 to have such functionality. My theory is that, since PS CS is aimed at pros, Adobe were worried about tacking on an "amateur" product. Realistically, a pro is going to be looking for a lot of functionality that PSA lacks and would be a lot of effort to add [e.g. multi-user database].
Another angle is that, once you have spent $700 on CS2, what's another $60 for PSE 3?
May I ask that what all features of Photoshop Album Starter Edition are you talking about. Since CS3 is pretty rich when it comes to features and Bridge is really handy for organizing images,I guess that the main things that you are missing are the tags and the collections. Am I right?
If you'll respond we may be able to discover the features in CS and Bridge that may serve the purpose served by the Photoshop Album Starter Edition.
