> How can I force Album to copy the photos I get from files or folders located on my hard disk ?
You can't. PSA's just not designed that way. The intention is to catalog your pictures, where ever they are, and free you from worrying about their actual location.
I don't recall whether SE has a File/Move command - if so, that gives you a way to relocate the images and keep the catalog up to date.

Because if the files are deleted from the original location, the photos in the albums are no more.

Actually the only solution provided by Album is to reconnect the missing files. IMHO it should import, copy, the files so we can export standalone catalogs, albums. I will check how that feature works on others products.

Thanks for your help.
the programme wont import psd files from hard disc.say's they are unsupported files also what size file is supported
This is a new topic really ...
PSDs should be fine.
Where did the files come from?
There are some limits on pixel size, but they are not particularly low and would not show up this way. Hw big are your files [Mb and pixels]?
If you are using Photoshop Album Starter Edition, then you are right, PSDs are not supported. But in full version of PSA, PSDs should work fine.
I have a powerpoint slide show what I would like to transfer to Photoshop Starter edition with the intention of printing specific photos. It was on email which I have moved to a file, still as a Power point slide show. Can I do this??
No, you can not import/ transfer the power point slideshow in Photoshop Album Starter Edition. This is not supported.
