2 things to do:
First, make sure that, when you move the pictures, they have exactly the same pathnames [folder structure].
Then, find the My Catalog.PSA file on your old computer [it may be in a hidden folder] and move that to the new one. You should then be all set.
Thanks. Figured on the pathname being the same. Although I suspect that the reconnect feature would work, but probably one picture at a time. Too much effort.
When I have played with reconnect, it behaves flawlessly, but others do seem to have had bad experiences.
I have recently purchased a new PC as well, and saved all the files under "Documents and Settings" from the old PC to the new PC... where would the "My Catalog.PSA" file reside? I'd like to be able use all my version 2 data with the new version 3...
Don't remember where it was found, but you can locate it using Start:Search and entering "My Catalog.psa" as the name of the file you want to find. Copy it over to the new computer and you are on your way.
You will find the files you are after in:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Album Starter Edition\2.0\Shared_Assets\database\odbc
assumming you selected a default installation.
