Any chance that your email is set to block it and it went to the bulk bin?
Don't worry, you won't lose the pictures.
During registration, make sure that you are using the same eMail address that you used when requesting the code. If you use a different one, it won't work.
And, yes, don't worry, all your pictures are in your My Pictures/adobe folder. You won't loose them.
I have this very same problem. I have been trying to unlock for a couple of weeks and so far have been unsuccessful. I have tried disabling the firewall but still it doesn't work. It worked perfectly well the very first time that I registered but now that it has time expired and I am trying to re-register it just doesn't want to know. If I tell the system that I already have an unlock code and then enter it the 'unlock now' button stays greyed out and if I try to go the route of a completely new registration I get the same unlock code that I had originally and it still won't work. can anybody help please. Many thanks, Geoff
When the Unlock code is copied make sure that there are no trailing spaces at the end/begining of the code.Instead of copying the Unlock code, try typing in and see if the button gets enabled. this generally happens when there are trailing spaces at the end of the code which is copied.Hope this works.
I have never copied the code into the box, I have always typed it in, I have just tried it again (7.35am Wednesday 7th) and nothing has happened....yet again. I like the programme but am now beginning to wonder if it's worth all of this hassle. I cannot see how I am going to overcome the problem without someone from adobe coming and sitting at my desk! I cannot understand why it is necessary to re-register anyway. I wonder if it would work if I was to uninstall the programme and then to install it again as if I was a new customer. Thanks for trying to help. Geoff
The other thing you have to be sure of is that whne you're enetering you're unlock code, you're using the same eMail adress you used to get the code. The code knows your email address. if they don't match, then it won't work.
if that's not the problem, can you describe in as much detail as possible the steps your taking, the screens your seeing, and the error messages you get?
Hi Bob, Thanks for the help. Here goes then......I open the programme OPSE3.0 and my collection of photos appears, this is quickly followed by the Product Registration screen, if I then click on 'I already have an unlock code' another screen appears with a white box with the curser blinking in it, there is a button in the bottom left hand corner of this screen which says 'Unlock Now' but this is greyed out and remains so even when I put the unlock code into the white box. After I have entered the code I press 'enter' and all that I get is a beep from the pc. I then press the button in the bottom right hand corner which says 'exit without unlocking' and the programme closes. I have always had the same email address so I don't think that this is the problem. Thanks again for your efforts. regards, Geoff.
Sounds like the right screens.
The code you got back from Adobe was generated by a tool that is case sensitive to your eMail address. It's possible that there's a case sinsitivity mix up somewhere.
Don't tell anyone (well, ok, now everyone reading this forum knows) but I can generate Starter Edition unlock codes. (Yes, I'm from Adobe, and I'm here to help.)
If you can send me your eMail address, I can generate a few codes based on likely case sensitivity options and send them back to you. You can get to me directly at email@example.com
