I am guessing that your new camera detects vertical images automatically. Right?
If so, that's the problem. Although that's a neat idea, it is not used consistently by lots of software. PSA SE tends to do the right thing and spots the marker that says a photo is vertical and displays it correctly - the image file is not actually rotated.
The best thing to do is turn off that facility in the camera. To fix already imported images, just select them all and do rotate right, then rotate left.
I just called Sami's camera and they said to put the vertical detector "on" (it was "off"). I should take a few shots and see what happens now...
I'll try your suggestion in your last sentence and report back. Thanks for your suggestions.
Hey Colin, thanks!
Your back and forth rotating method did the trick. (I've yet to download, but they are saved vertically :). You are a lifesaver!
I know I need an upgrade--what is your experience with Elements, that is versus the "fancier" (and more expensive" version?

I currently use PSE 4. The Organizer component is basicaly the same as PSA SE, but has a lot of additional flexibility. Let me know if you have specific questions.
