Try disabling your firewall temporarily. This is a common problem.
Yes, you're right, I can't connect either. The Catalog message shows it is a newer version and cannot be read. Ich habe dieses Programm geliebt. Easy access to th internet, collection and storage of all pictures. Now the people from Adobe tell me "it is out of function and there is no more support. There were very nice and helpful, but. . . I am old and on little income, I cannot afford a new, expensive program. Too bad, we have to resign. If there is any help. . . . let us know, people out there. Ernie Kehl

I get the message that it can't find the path to the registration link.

Same thing on Adobe Photoshop starter album 3.0, cannot register and get unlock code. Adobe won't answer, "how to", by phone or e-mail request. Their idea is you work it out among yourself. Something not good here.
If you are in the uk and struggling to register, then i have a sollution that worked for me.

This will get you through to ADOBE TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICES
This will put you through to an automated service
Press option 4....then press option 1
This will get you through to an advisor who will ask you for the e-mail address that you tried to register with.
Once you have done this they will give you the unblock code.
Enter the unblock code and off you go.
I hope this is helpful.
I agree - this is a major pain! I logged a bug, also tried disabling firewall - that does not work. Anyone else with a better idea, please post!
hey guys what I've tried which will (believe it or not) fix your problem, which as plagued me for about a week, is just simply re-download it and put in the unlock code they give you or just register again... WOW! Honestly try it! I downloaded from softpedia.com and I didn't delete my already existing file of the Adobe. I just put it on another drive so...
The way I got around the problem was by re-installing Photoshop Album Starter Edition to a new directory location (I actually installed it on a different drive). After I did this, it still wanted me to register the product, but this time the code that I had gotten from Adobe now worked. (Prior to that, the unlock code button remained grayed-out even when I used the correct Adobe key that I had been given.)
For those interested, I had tried:
1.) Complete uninstall and re-install of applicaiton
2.) just re-install of application
None of that helped and the online registratration process would terminate Photoshop Album Starter Edition because it couldn't connect to the www.onlineregister.com service that everyone is referring to.
