Try setting the email client in the preferences of Photoshop Album Starter Edition. For this, Launch Photoshop Album Starter Edition, go to Edit menu and selected preferences. Click on Email tab and select email client as "Outlook Express". Click OK. Restart of application might be required.
Now Outlook Express should be launched every time you try to email photos from Photoshop Album Starter Edition.
One more point, Microsoft Outlook is launched manually or by someother application and then make sure that it is not set as default. In that case "Photoshop Album Starter Edition" might launch Microsoft Outlook for emailing photos.
Do let us know what you observe.
I had the same problem. I followed your instructions and set the email to "outlook express", restarted the program, and it works for the first batch of photos I send. However, if I select a different batch to email, it keeps defaulting back to Microsoft Outlook and not Outlook express. Can you help me change that default so that I don't have to close and restart the Photoshop Album Starter Edition each time to send another group of photos?
Sure would appreciate any suggestions you could offer.
Obviously I have already set Outlook Express as the default e-mail program in Photoshop but the problem persists, as Michele Day has found too. If it was that easy to solve the problem I wouldn't be in this forum!
If you are still facing this problem, then try setting Outlook Express as Default Email Program for Operating system through Control Panel.
Try following: Go to Control Panel --> Internet Options --> Program Tab --> Select Outlook Express for Email option and click OK.
Now Outlook Express is set as default email program and should work for all application including Photoshop Album Starter Edition.
Let me know if this works.
That too has already been done, but the problem persists.
I have the same problem. All defaults are set to Outlook Express, yet I can only send pictures once, then I must close and re-open Photoshop to send again. I have this same problem in Picasa. Has anyone found a solution yet?
Not sure what you're running into. I have version 3.2 and mine works fine...
Mind you, I had OE open at the same time as PSA... try that and see if it
I too have both open at the same time. (I have OE open all the time) When I try to email the second photo, I get a message that says, "The file C:\documents and settings . . . Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.pst could not be found" Then I'm prompted to open/create a personal folder and get a message failure notice. I don't even use Microsoft Outlook.
It puzzles me why I can send successfully the first time but not thereafter.
Sounds like something is messed up with the email software. Try uninstalling
it, reboot and reinstall the email software
How do I set my default email client to AOL?
If you reinstall the email client, it will make itself the default, but
do you mean so that PSA uses it?
