On the Bottom right corner of the screen in the startup bar, you will see a camera icon with a green arrow. Right-click this icon and select disable. After this, PSASE should not scan the drive on its own.
Glad I'm not the only one who had this problem. However, navigating this site to find the answer was a nightmare. The documentation is lacking.
i have already done this - agree with tia - best to be able to tell it to do something (i had three different programs trying to upload images at the same time - nightmare!)
however, is there a way to remove icon from bottom r.h corner completely? it seems unnecessary to have something 'ready' all the time when i rarely upload photos!
(i know how to remove it temporarily by "rht click, exit", but it will reappear everytime i start up
Here is what to do:
In Windows Explorer, go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Album Starter Edition\3.0\Apps and reaname the file apdproxy.exe to something else [like "apdproxy-save.exe"].
