Help! My computer has been in the repair shop for a week. I now find that my Adobe PSE is frozen. I have reregistered and received a code to unlock it. When I try to use it, the registration form comes up - then a form to type it in, but this has a faint `unlock now' on the left which does not operate, and `exit now without unlocking'. There seems to be no facility to enter it. Any ideas please?? Stanley G. Clare
Stanley:<br />(Going from memory here)<br />You'll need to click the link that says "I already have an Unlock Code"<br />In that screen, you'll need to enter at least your eMail, and your Unlock <br />code. (You may need to enter additional stuff, I can't remember) in order <br />for it to enable the unlock button.<br />Your Unlock Code is matched to your eMail address, so be user to enter the <br />same email address that you used to get the Unlock Code.<br />Let us know if it works.<br />Cheers<br />Bob<br /><br /><br /><Stanley_G._Clare@adobeforums.com> wrote in message <br />news:email@example.comNXanI...<br />> Help! Sorry, fat fingers on the keyboard.
Be SURE to use the same email address you used to get your unlock code.
The unlock code Adobe sent me doesn't work & now I am locked out. Can anybody help me??
Can you describe in more detail what is not working?
What steps are you taking to enter the Unlock code?
Are you entering the same email address that you used to get the unlock
code? (they are linked.)
More info would help.
Thanks for your reply Bob. First - I can not get the `unlock now' to come on. Second - I can not remember including my email address before. It simply asks for the code. It seems like a common problem. Very frustating! Where are you from? Keep you informed.

Can you give the step by step of what your seeing/clicking on/expecting ?
The basic registration process is:
Fill out the registration form
Wait for an eMail with your unlock code
Go back to the registration form and enter the unlock code
If you have a code, you must have entered your eMail address at some point.
Step by step info might help.
Bob, The computer wwas in for repair, and the photos were frozen when it was returned. I have registered, got the code. I key it in. click on `unlock now', nothing happens. Frequently `unlock now' does not come up. I have been through it umpteen times. It will just not activate. Thanks for your interest. Stanley G. Clare
My PSE is locked after being in for repair. I have reregistered, got the code, and failed to unlock it. Cheerio to all my photos!
If I buy an Adobe Photo Album locally, and download it. Is this subject to the same locking fiasco?? If so Adobe is out!

If you buy Photoshop Elements, it does not have the same unlocking

As for your photos, they aren't actually locked into Starter Edition. They
all should be on your hard disk. Take a look inside MyDocuments>My Pictures.
Poke around a bit, and you should be able to find all the original photos.
Also, try upgrading to Starter Edition 3.2 (if you are still using Starter Edition 3.0) and this problem could be solved.
You can get Starter Edition 3.2 at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3616 - it is a free upgrade.
