1. Re: In Elements 5 I can no longer drop down menu for Blending modes
(Tricia_Roush) Dec 30, 2008 8:51 AM (in response to terryd1)Hmmm. Usually the first thing to try when PSE misbehaves is resetting
preferences. Try pressing and holding ctrl-alt-shift while you start the
editor. You should get a dialog asking if you want to delete the
settings file. You do. If you don't get the dialog, you didn't quite
time the key combination with starting the editor just right, so try again.

2. Re: In Elements 5 I can no longer drop down menu for Blending modes
(Terry_Davies) Jan 2, 2009 9:10 AM (in response to terryd1)Hi Trish, Thanks for your help. I tried what you said and it worked but if I then reload the program without pressing ctrl-alt-shift (so it now reads in the new Prefs file which it produced when it closed down) it's doesn't work again. I downloaded a trial of Elements 7 and that work OK and if I click on the Elements 5 prefs.psp Elements 7 loads and works OK as well. So I'm flommaxed as to what is happening. I reckon some update of Windows has broken it. Looks like I'll have to upgrade. Cheers Terry
