    Updated Action Files

If you are using Power On Software's Action Files product and have been experiencing crashes with Photoshop 6.0, please visit http://www.poweronsoftware.com and download the latest version. We have tested it in-house and the update fixes all known issues with Photoshop 6.0.

I am also a longtime user of the product and recommend it. I do not have any connection with the company other than being a satisfied user.

I am a long time Action Files user and the new version (1.5.3) works fine now with Photoshop 6. In addition, it can also now be used with Illustrator 9 without causing crashes.

Great to have this utility back.

i am trying to set up the color work flow in photoshop 6 and was unsure as to the cmyk setups. will the working spaces listed affect how the image appears on screen/and or affect the numeric values of the files?

what is the most reliable conversion engine for cmyk and rgb?

            thanks for any input.

                Good Morning,

I am running PS 5.5 , Mac G-3 beige, 320 mb built in memory, 200mb
allocated to PS, 1.5gb left on hard drive.

I cannot do anything in PS, crop, clone etc. without the message
"Scratch disks appear full, cannot complete your request". Even on a 30k
file it will give me that message.

I have tried allocating more memory, less memory, defragmenting my hard
drive. I am not running any other programs with photoshop.

My scratch disks are set at startup as my primary, and my hard drive as
secondary although I did try setting my primary to my hard drive to no
                avail.

Please help. I have so much work to do.

                Thanks,
                Wendy

Wendy, you may not get many helpful answers to your question, since it's not posted in a related topic, but what OS are you using? If 9.0, then perhaps updating to 9.1 would solve your problem. Also, AutoPurge will delete temp files. You could learn more about this by doing a search on this forum.

                    Wendy,

OS 9 and OS 9.04 both have a bug that doesn't delete temp files the way they should. Both OS 9.1 and Photoshop 6 address the issue. Photoshop works around the bug and OS 9.1 corrects it entirely.

The OS 9.1 upgrade is free from Apple. if you are running either 9.0 or 9.04 I would recommend the upgrade if you can't afford the upgrade to Phtooshop 6.0.1.

I don't uderstand why you have 2 drives designated as scratch disks. Generally the startup volume is your hard drive. Is this not the case on your system? Do you have an external drive or 2 drives in the machine? Or perhaps your drive is partitioned? If you do not have any of these go back to the scratch disk preferences and simply set the first pref to startup, and leave the others alone. That may be your problem.
