It uses <span> tags for the text that wants to trigger a tooltip.
There is another way too. You can listen to the "mouse over" and "mouse out" events of the TextArea. Your listener function (action script) can then pop the tooltip. It's quite fast and smooth, and gives you control over the content of the tooltip at "browse time".
I like the TextArea/event/listener solution, and it requires only a bit of Actionscript programming.
I want this style of tooltip, that popups a list, from which I can choose an option.
Could you give some code hints?
The textarea mouseover eventlistener only triggers if the cursor is on the textarea it doesnt indicates if you are on some specific part of the text (word, part of a sentence).
