Commands should only be concerned with changing the model. You should bind your view to the model. For instance, you can bind the selectedIndex of your TabNavigator to a property in the model.
that's exactly how i ended up doing it. from the view, the tabnavigator's index is bound to a number value in the model and each of the tab's enabled property is bound to a boolean value in the model. i have an event and a command that dictate what the values in the model are set to.
i still need to tweak it a bit, but i have it working for the most part.
