you aren't doing anything wrong but you have to understand, flex is not the same as flash in what it comes to publish the application.
with that said, how are you building your application? can you show us some code?
i have several swf that i run on a standalone mode and other that i simply create a projector, so i can help you but i need to know more
Thanks for your help. However the code is too big to show here and I am not sure the client would allow me to do it. I am trying to think to shorten it, but it's hard to find where to start since I don;t know what actially could cause the problem. I thought about using external xml data is the reason. I then tested one app with external xml and one without. Both of the two swf can rrun standalone.
So what is the general guideline? Thanks again.
I would think that if you have the Flash Player installed, the SWF should open in it if the swf is double-clicked. What happens if you double-click?
It opens when double clicked, but just sits there. The first it should do is some Move() actions, or events.
We need a bit more information to know why the app does in fact load, but does not execute as you expect.
You say it should do some Move actions or events. How is your code setup to fire off those actions or events? Please at least boil your issue down to a simple case where we can see what you have there, and that it is not working.
I found the reason: the program uses external graphics stored in images folder. So this is a security issue.
