The problem is the following two lines. They are setting incorrect data types on the shader.data's members:

shader.data.dimension.value = 
The inputImage is of type ShaderInput which doesn't match well with a bitmap type. The way to get the data attached to the ShaderInput is to set the input property to a BitmapData, ByteArray, or Vector<Number>. Similarly, the dimension is a parameter, so it's available in flash as a ShaderParameter type. This has a value property which needs to be set to an array of numbers.
I think the type mismatch with the input image is probably causing the crash. Hope that helps get you kickstarted.
