    Resizing Browser Window Distorts Site

    nwpent
      This is my test website.. www.nwpent.com

      When you resize the browser window, my website tries to autoformat and resize to fit the window, distorting all the images and the text.

      How do I stop this from happening? How do I freeze my website view so that when the browser is resized, the viewer just sees less of my website?

          Make your page a fixed width. However, then you will have to worry about
          what happens when the viewer resizes their text in the browser.

          Currently your page is completely flexible -

          <body>
          <div align="center"><img src="NWP Enterprises inc web.jpg" width="410"
          height="275" align="middle" />
          </div>
          <h1 align="center"> </h1>
          <h1 align="center">We Are Currently Under Construction</h1>

          <h2 align="center">NWP Enterprises, Inc.</h2>
          <h3 align="center">6310 Mableton Pkwy. Ste 1000</h3>
          <h3 align="center">Mableton, GA 30126</h3>
          <h4 align="center"><em>Tel</em>  770.941.5421
              <em>Fax</em>  770.941.9522</h4>
          <h4 align="center"><a
          href="mailto:administrator@nwpent.com">administrator@nwpent.com</a></h4>

          <h3 align="center">
          <pre align="center">  </pre>
          </body>

          To make it a fixed width, enclose the entire content area in a fixed-width
          container, like this -

          <body>
          <div style="width:760px;">
          <div align="center"><img src="NWP Enterprises inc web.jpg" width="410"
          height="275" align="middle" />
          </div>
          <h1 align="center"> </h1>
          <h1 align="center">We Are Currently Under Construction</h1>

          <h2 align="center">NWP Enterprises, Inc.</h2>
          <h3 align="center">6310 Mableton Pkwy. Ste 1000</h3>
          <h3 align="center">Mableton, GA 30126</h3>
          <h4 align="center"><em>Tel</em>  770.941.5421
              <em>Fax</em>  770.941.9522</h4>
          <h4 align="center"><a
          href="mailto:administrator@nwpent.com">administrator@nwpent.com</a></h4>

          <h3 align="center">
          </div>
          </body>

          Making good web pages is all about understanding HTML. If you don't, you
          won't, so to speak.
