    Trouble exporting in DivX

I've been trying for over a week now to figure out how to export into DivX with a resolution of 1440 x 900. Every time I do though, the video occasionally sputters back and forth and it starts to rip apart (yes, the frames meld on to one another and it's a huge mess). Here is a sample of such activity: http://files.filefront.com/Sequence+01avi/;9280121;/fileinfo.html ( You can see more of what I mean if you download the file instead of streaming it. It's only 9MB)

I have tried EVERY single combination of encoding settings and frame rate. NOTHING works, in fact I am ready to go back to movie maker because of it's simplicity and reliability. DivX is not AT ALL impressive and neither is Premiere at this point. With the inability of even being able to WATCH the videos I make, I'm out of ideas.

      Any suggestions?
