    NTSC/PAL

I have a NTSC camera but I live in europe and have a Pal system on tv.
If I when I start a new project set the settings to PAL and inport from my NTSC camera do the clips chance to a Pal format or do I have to do something more.Is it mabie better to do the hole project in NTSC and trust the DVD player to convert it autom. for the tv.

          Yes.

You are better off converting your NTSC footage to PAL. Importing a NTSC clip into a PAL project will not convert it to PAL. This will happen when rendering for a preview or for a DVD. DVD players that can convert from NTSC to PAL (not all can do that) usually do a pretty poor job of it.

No matter what you do there will be a quality loss so the best solution is to get a PAL camcorder but of course you already know that. Try it with a small amount of footage and make a DVD. If you are happy with the result then go for it. If not...well!
