Having an .mov extension doesn't mean all that much. There are various codecs that can be used inside the Quicktime wrapper, and not all of them will be compatible with Premiere.
Where did you get the files?
I am receiving the files from my VFX people. They are all coming to me from different people but as .mov files so perhaps they're using different codecs to each other but it's still not importing into Premiere and I don't understand at all why it isn't.
Any suggestions for fixing the problem are greatly appreciated.
Oh no it's okay! I re-installed Quicktime and it's working fine now. Thanks for your help though guys.
