If you are targeting the Windows Media Player then use the free Microsoft Windows Media Encoder to create Windows Media (WMV) files. You have far more control over the encoding options than you do through PPro. Remember, PPro is primarily a video editor.

Thanks Eddie, that was the piece I needed. I still need to use Premiere to assemble all the .bmp's but then I can output raw avi and compress with the media encoder.
