Premiere never had a "green screen" effect... try the "Chroma Key" effect instead.
au contraire...PPro did have a green screen effect before version CS3 (it was tossed out, reasons not completely known to the general population).
It was quite generous with poorly-produced green screen footage on DV source. Chroma Key effect works well, but not in the same, simple way.
I found uses for both effects at various times. Now I ignore them both and just go with Dynamic Link > After Effects (Keylight).

Really? Then I stand (sit) corrected. Was this in 2.0? I swear I never saw anything with "green" in the title.
The Green screen in pro 2 was greatl;y superior to the ones (non red and color key) in CS3 for my purposes.
Have you tried using Ultra that comes with the Premiere install? It has a fine keyer and will do shadows, reflections, etc.
I use ultra alot and its very very good...
otherwise whats wrong with Chroma keying??
It has a great deal more control than that of key green.
