dvcpro hd video from hard drive appears distorted

I'm using a Panasonic HVX200 and recording DVCPRO HD to a 100gb CitiDisk hard drive as AVI2 files. At both 1080i and 720p, the video appears squeezed in the left side of the frame and the right side is filled with a flashing green and purple bar. When I record to a P2 card or OnLocation, everything looks fine.

I've tried dragging the bad video from the hard drive into OnLocation and it looks fine on the OnLocation monitor. But in Premiere, After Effects, and Windows Media Player it looks messed up. I've tried just stretching it out 150%, but there's still some loss in quality.

I've tried DVCPRO HD AVI2 footage from another drive and it looks the same. Seems to be something wrong with my computer/premiere.

I've tried dealing with the manufacturer, and their latest idea is that premiere is missing a codec. That seems odd as it deals with other DVCPRO HD footage just fine. Does anyone have any ideas? I'd really appreciate it.

      Thanks,
      Mike
