quick update - i tried installing the dvcpro hd plugin from mainconcept (installing the mpeg hd then the dvcpro hd on top of it) and it worked. However, unless I fork out $800ish dollars, i'm stuck with a watermark on my video.
Why would this dvcpro hd video be different from the dvcpro hd video i shoot using OnLocation or a P2 card?
Someone in another thread had mentioned doing something to the files before importing them. I think it had to do with being recorded onto the HD (in his case a Firestore unit) rather than a P2 card. Maybe the same applies to your situation?
I'm having trouble finding the thread you're referring to. Do you have a link?
The video is being recorded to the drive as AVI2, which is the same way I record when I record directly to my computer through OnLocation, which works splendidly. Premiere CS3 knows how to deal with DVCPRO HD and AVI2, so these settings should work fine, shouldn't they?
