I never tried Cineform Aspect HD, but from remarks made here and at other fora, it must be quite stable and good.
I tried Mainconcept MPEG Pro HD, but had nothing but trouble (as well as in the previous version) so I requested a refund and got it. It just does not work for me. Also their support is seriously lacking in terms of responsiveness and professionalism.
Aspect HD = outstanding. Go for it!

I agree. I have used Aspect HD since I first got my Sony FX1 (and I was one of the first to get one). In over three years, it has served me very well.
Thanks for your answers,
I just used the trial version but have had the problem, that I didn't get a preview on my second monitor which worked well with CS3 normally. Did I mad a mistake?
I want to create AVCHD or in future BluRays out of CS3. Is there an improvement of quality when I use Aspect HD or what do you think are the main advantages?
Download Aspect HD, take advantage of the free trial, and answer all of your questions yourself ;)
Searching the forums will answer these questions as well. There have been many, many conversations on this topic.
Isn't Aspect HD limited to the HVD flavor of XDCAM EX? We'd have to bump up to Prospect to make use of the camera's HQ 1920x1080 mode, wouldn't we? Or is it that Aspect converts the 1920 to 1440, making it HDV? BTW - I've noticed Sony lists MainConcepts as their partner for the EX files in CS3.
