1. Export to Encore
Ok then another question...
Would people recommend that I upgrade from 2.0 given the fact I have not entered the world of HDV yet?
PPro 2.0 does slo-mo really bad IMO. Is the time remapping worth it? How does it comapare to After Effects?
The improved slomo (including time remapping) in CS3 is worth the upgrade price alone, IMO. Add the new flexbins, and it should be an easy decision.
Not to mention some of the bugs they fixed. Memory issues mostly. Subclips don't cause a delay and images can be scaled to under 50% without taking forever to render.
And Encore comes with the upgrade. As does OnLocation.
"and images can be scaled to under 50% without taking forever to render"
They fixed that Steven? I thought that they could not fix that for this release. They said it would be a huge undertaking. Glad to hear!!
Damn. I knew I wouldn't be able to hang on to my money.
Somebody tell me something bad about it.
No native support for various P2 formats. (Yet)
On my system, CS3 used more CPU cycles than 2.0 under identical conditions, making my CPU run hotter. (May not apply to all.)
Also on my system, an annoying flicker was introduced into the GUI. (Other posts suggest this isn't just me.)
Upgrade price too steep for included new features. (Subjective, I admit.)
