Why are 2 videos of different dimensions almost the same size ?

    Level 1
      Hello,

I have 2 sample videos, both are in .wmv format.

Both are the same length of time.

      One is 864 x 480 and is just over 16 megs large. ( 16,274 )

      The 2nd one is 432 x 240 and is just under 16 megs large. ( 15,860 )

Each one was encoded at 2,000kbps.

      Question:

Why are both videos almost the same in size, shouldn't the much larger dimensioned video be much higher in file size ?

      Dave.
