That's why. MPEG is not best for editing. You will need to convert them pref to type 2 DV first. (procoder or the various file rippers out there) Or use Premiere Elements.
You could also take a copy of the ad2ac3dec.dll from the Encore directory and copy it into the Premier Pro CS3 root directory. That sometimes fixes the ac3 audio
Or use the MainConcept MPEG Pro plugin ofcourse
Thanks, Mick. I haven't used Premiere for a while. I think I used to have the MainConcept plugin. I'll see about a more recent version.
Just wanted to let everyone know that moving the DLL from the Encore directory worked a treat. I don't have Premiere Elements and had no idea which MainConcept plugin was the one I wanted - things seem to have become a little more complicated on that front from the last time I looked. Also, they ain't cheap!
