You can create a custom frame size that matches your needs, but there is no way that any equipment I ever heard of creates a 23.49 fps clip.
You may have to settle for 23.976
Use Desktop mode and square pixels.
Well I'm happy to report that the suggestions you made are what I tested out last night...only seems to be a slight sync problem...between 23.49 and 23.976...hmph....
While I have your attention on this subject - the same clips - they are green screen clips. I usually use Ultra by Adobe (previously Serious Magic) for Chroma Keying - however I've never Chroma Keyed such small clips.
Any suggestions for what I could use to Chroma Key these MOV files?
Well, without a doubt, if you have After Effects Pro, use the Keylight plugin that comes with it.
But just to see for myself, I exported a 320X240 clip and trhen could not find a way to export that small a frame from Ultra CS3.
So you have Ultra CS3...I've been looking all over for a Trial Version...and I wanted to buy it on it's own...is it available as an upgrade by itself?
I don't have After Effects Pro, but I'm going to get the trial version of that program.
Unfortunately, I don't know that Keylight comes with the trial.
Is Ultra CS3 available as a stand alone upgrade fro Adobe?
