On Encore, I notice the Source is at 1440x1080 and the Output is at 720x480.
NTSC @ 29.97fps, Lower, Quality 4.6
Your output settings are correct for SD material. But you're not feeding it SD material. It looks like you're using HDV, which uses upper field first, not lower field. That can cause issues.
Yes, it's all shot in HD.
What exactly should I do to correct the situation?
I found the Upper/Lower selection and burned a DVD in 'Upper'.
And the problem is solved.
Thank you very much for your help.
A new problem is I have a thin line almost exactly in the middle of the screen.
Not a drawn line, but it looks like the top half and bottom half of the screen are overlapping by one pixel.
Is that caused by anything, you know?
Or is it a scratched DVD, maybe?
That one's new for me. Not sure what might be causing it.
Well, I'll try some variations.
I did try 2 copies, one de-interlaced and one without. The de-interlaced one is the smoothest, but that's the one with this line that cuts the screen in half.
As I'm watching it, I notice it appears when there's alot of movement.
Guess I'll have to make a new topic for this one. . . :-P
Thanks again, though.
I really appreciate it.
