If you look at motherboard benchmarks, you will see they are all very close these days, normally about a second of difference between models for rendering times.
Choose based on features instead.
I saw that a lot of people use the Asus P5K mobo. I checked on the Asus website and there are a few different ones.
1)Does this board/series work well?
2)Which one is reccomended/works best?
I have a P5K Pro (FSB 1333) - works well for me.
I've got three P5K-e wiFi's which are great and also mobo of the year world wide. All the features you need and handles the Quadcore fine.
Is there an equivalent without WiFi?
Also, which RAM is better to use - DDR2 or DDR3 or makes no difference?
