Does anyone know (vaguely) how the deinterlacing algorithm works when exporting video?
Specificallly, does it use anything clever (where eg some correlation based matching is used to merge data from odd and even rows) or does it simply take a frame, throw away eg odd rows and interpolate between the remaining? And if the latter, is the interpolation anything fancy?
My problem is that I'm extracting data on bumblebees from interlaced video. I currently treat each frame as 2 half-frames (odd then even rows) but I wondered if Adobe could do anything better than this
