Premiere CC3 can't burn DVDs anymore. That function from 2.0 has been relegated entirely to the now included Encore.
Yes, I understand that. My Premiere came with Encore. On the File menu in Premiere, I select "Export to Encore" to begin. It brings up a box where I click on "Direct burn without menus." In the past, it has done the encoding and then burned the dvd. Now it doesn't do that. When I click on OK, it brings up a dialog box for the Save location. When I choose the DVD drive, I get the error message. As I said before, I have successfully done many dvds in the past but it has been some months ago. Don't know what has changed. Thanks for you reply. Sorry for any confusion.
Additional information from more testing. If I render the video in Premiere and then open it in Encore, I can do a build and then burn it to the dvd. So, instead of Premiere/Encore allowing me to do it in one step, I have to do two separate steps. What sense does that make? I may have to reinstall Premiere/Encore. Any other thoughts? Kris
